Mark Cody was a three-time All-American wrestler during his career at SUNY Delhi and the University of Missouri. Cody played a key role in helping the Bronco Wrestling Team set the national record for consecutive dual meet wins.  He was also a member of the  NJCAA Region III Championship teams in 1981 and 1982. During the 1984-1985 season, Cody was named Missouri’s Outstanding Wrestler. He still ranks in the single season Top10 for falls (17) and winning percentage (.875). Cody was a 198 lbs. finalist at the 1988 U.S. Olympic Trials. Cody has been instrumental in the career success of many collegiate wrestlers and Olympic wrestlers, including 2000 Olympic gold medalist Rulon Gardner. As Assistant Coach at perennial national powerhouse Oklahoma State, Cody guided the Cowboys to a Big 12 Championship and fifth-place finish at the 2002 NCAA Championships. As Head Coach at American University, Cody directed the team’s rise to national prominence, earning 2011 NWCA Coach of the Year, after the Eagles placed fifth at the 2011 NCAA championships. Cody was named Head Wrestling Coach at the University of Oklahoma in 2011.
